The long dark tea time of the soul

I mooted the idea of this organization yesterday and have already got a good response. While taking my weekend walk in the busy MG Road of Bangalore this weekend, two people sopped me. The guy seemed to be in his late 20s and the girl was beautiful (who cares about the girl’s age as long as she is not underage and is good looking). They were from an organization called PETA, and claimed to be ‘fighting’ for ethical treatment of animals and promote vegeterianism. Now that is what I call an incongruous statement. How can we treat the animals ethically and not eat them at the same time? Of course I didn’t speak out my contentions aloud to them, but my firends did.

After talking to them for 20 minutes, we found to our utter amazement that the PETA people are what we guessed they would be. Just plain stupid. Being a regular visitor to their website, I should not
say bad things about PETA. Now I am a huge fan of their novel protest modes, especially the one where pretty girls shed their clothes to promote awareness against fur. And I worship some of the prominent PETA figures, including Pamela Anderson. Last week PETA released a calendar in India featuring many top bollywood artists, but unfortunately for many of us the only topless photograph in that calendar was of John Abraham.

I got the idea of forming the organization PETPETA after seeing many people ridiculing those two well intentioned youngster. Agreed that they are stupid people, but stupid people do have a right to be treated ethically. After all show me one person who is not stupid, or who has not acted stupid ever in his life. If we don’t want to take PETA seriously, then the least we can do is try to encourage them. They should have the similar protests in India as well.

PETA is an extremely rich organization of foolish people with good bodies. They deserve acceptance, the deserve appreciation just like any other group of people. PETA does not know that if it spends a tiny fraction of its budget in educating the countries’ farmer and villagers about correct veterinary practices, it will achieve much more than doing fashion shows or publishing gory pictures of beheaded animals. But they should be excused for that. Let’s just sit back and enjoy!!

Hence the immediate need of the organization PETPETA. We will follow novel methods to educate people about PETA and the need for treating it ethically. We will be People for Ethical Treatment of People for Ethical Treatment of Animals. Fund us. Support us.Encourage us.
